Enthusiasts of Android 4.1 devices in India have reason to celebrate. Earlier, the news about Google’s low priced tablet Nexus making its debut in India had hand held device users excited. Now Karbonn Mobiles is all set to capture a share in the low priced tablet segment in India with its jelly bean device Smart Tablet 4.

This 4.1 Android tablet is equipped with a 1.5 GHz CPU. Karbonn is launching this tablet in September. Priced at Rs 11,000, this device has an attractive 9.7 inch display with Gorilla Glass protection. Smart Tab 4 supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Initial series of the tablet will enable 3G via an external device; however the subsequent line of tablet models will have a 3G sim slot.

Karbonn is also planning on offering its push mail service and instant messenger service with this device in the future. Considering India’s affinity with low priced devices, one would expect Smart Tablet 4 to do rather well in its segment.
