After winning a $ 1.05 billion lawsuit against Samsung, Apple all set to choke Google

It has been only a few weeks since Samsung was ordered to pay $ 1.05 billion to Apple as damages for violating patents, and this court decision many tech experts believed was failure of justice. Now, Steve Job’s company is gearing up to tame the horses at Google. Speculations are rife about Apple now focusing its attention on Google; this after Apple won its patent lawsuit against Samsung.

It’s a known fact that Google’s Android operating system is used in Samsung’s line of smartphones and tablets. To refresh your memory, Steve Jobs before passing away had openly declared that Android was a ‘stolen product and that he vowed to destroy it even if it meant “thermonuclear war”.

Steve Jobs’s unfulfilled dreams may well take shape after his death. Analysts are of the opinion; Apple will now tighten the noose on Google in regard with Android OS. Florian Mueller, FOSS Patents said, “It’s all about tactics. There’s no reason Apple would have to be afraid of suing Google directly. It’s just tactically more convenient to go against other device makers”. Will Apple take up patent infringement up against internet heavyweight Google, and if it does will it be able to produce a similar result like it did against Samsung? Regardless of what’s to come in the future, one thing’s for sure it’s going to be tense moments for Google.
