Akhilesh Yadav has launched a laptop scheme for students with an aim to bridge the digital divide among classes of society.
These laptops will be provided to those who have obtained an intermediate pass certificate. presenting these laptops to youngsters will ensure that they take on competition and internet based progressive learning in a better way. These laptops from HP provided some of the latest features like a dual core AMD processor, 2 GB RAM, 14" screen, 500 GB Hard- disk among others.
Youngsters now days are also being provided with tablets like Aakash at nominal rates so as to allow children and youngsters benefit from using technology to improve their learning capabilities and exploit their true potential in the long run. Aakash is available at a nominal rate of Rs.1300 -Rs. 1500 for students.
The Samajwadi Party made it clear that though people doubted that this project would be successful, recent events have shown that its necessary for an organization/individual to take a stand for the benefit of society.
