Bharti Airtel COO, Mr. Sanjay Kapoor announced the arrival of iPhone 4 in India by October this year. Currently Bharti Airtel is in talks with Apple California and working out deals. iPhone might arrive in September, he added. This means that the latest iPhone will hit the Indian shore just before the festive season starts.
Apple surely would want to get the timing right as recently they had a bad run. iPhone 4 was in controversy, more than any other Apple’s device. But it seems Apple have silenced the critics with Antennagate conference.
Reports suggest iPhone to be priced around Rs 42,000 when it is launched. The thing to worry about now for Apple is what will happen to iPhone 3G and 3GS once iPhone 4 is launched. It’s been only 4 months since Apple launched its iPhone 3GS in India and it still costs around the same as iPhone 4’s expected launch price.
