It’s been a long time Apple and Samsung have been engaged in a bitter patent war. Both companies are relentless in their approach and are hell-bent on marking their dominance. This global patent war has seen both Apple and Samsung file cases against each other in various countries.
US electronics giant Apple has filed cases against Samsung accusing them of slavishly copying designs of its hugely successful iPhone and iPad. Samsung have counter-sued denying the allegations and accusations. According to reports that have emerged, A Dusseldorf regional court has extended ban on sales of Samsung Tablet 7.7 from Germany to European Union pointing out infringement of certain Apple patents.
This definitely gives Apple something to cheer about, considering the nightmarish streak it’s had in regard with verdicts recently. Samsung too celebrated a bit of a victory as the Dusseldorf court declared that its redesigned Galaxy Tab 10.1 N was sufficiently different to the Apple iPad and that it was acceptable under competition law.
