NFC – Near Field Communication chips, which are used to communicate with smart tags, posters, forms, stickers, basically with things that do not have batteries and even with other NFC enabled devices, will be installed in the next addition of Apple iPhone, iPhone 5.
Earlier this year Apple was rumored to launch their iPad 2 with NFC chip, but when they actually launched iPad 2 earlier this month, NFC chip was not there. This led people to believe that Apple will probably do the same with their to be launched iPhone 5.
But according to Richard Doherty, Envisioneering Group, Apple will be installing the NFC chip in their next version of iPhone’s and iPod’s. NFC chip is currently available in Google Nexus S while BlackBerry has announced to launch new devices with NFC capabilities soon.
