There has been a lot of speculation about the iPhone 5. Every technology website seems to be churning its own version of what the iPhone 5 is going to be. Now, to make matters worse, an Apple supplier has made an announcement that has sent tech enthusiasts and iPhone enthusiast in a tizzy. The supplier LG known for making high end displays and screens announced that it has begun mass production of a new ultra thin display.
Although the company has not disclosed who the mystery customer is, analysts believe it’s none other than Apple. Considering Apple’s product release plans for the future speculation is turning into belief. Apple’s panel supplier LG Display’s, Chief Executive Han Sang-beom told reporters in South Korea “We just began mass production and we don’t expect any disruption in supplies”.
Although Han was tight lipped about who the customer was, his announcement which came immediately after images of a charging port, dock connector and sync cable had emerged indicated the mystery customer was indeed Apple. The iPhone 5 is expected to have an ultra thin screen, this possible due to technology of in-cell panels and embedded sensors. Although Apple has not disclosed details in regard with iPhone 5, it is believed this Mother of all smartphones will be unveiled at a launch on September 12.
