Asus had announced the launch of Eee Pad on the lines of Apple iPad. When Asus had announced about Eee Pad’s launch, they were going to use Microsoft Windows as the operating system. But it seems this is no longer the case. Just like Lenovo who are going to use Google Android for their LePad, Asus too might be using Android to power up their Eee Pad’s.
At the Computex 2010, held last month, Asus displayed two versions of Eee Pad’s, a 10” and 11” pad. 10” version was running on Windows CE OS whereas the 11” version was installed with Windows 7 Home Premium. But speculations begin to rife when an Asus Eee Pad was spotted with Android. Reportedly the machine was running a 2.2 Froyo update.
Still it is unclear whether Asus will be going with Google or Windows, maybe it answered at the CES 2011 in January.
