Cases of Spondylitis and back Pain high among laptop and Tablet users

Individuals that spend hours on laptops or tablets are at greater risk of acquiring back pain or spondylitis than individuals that spend time on desktops PCs. Because of the low placement of laptops neck movement and neck flexes are exceedingly high. A growing concern worldwide is posture deterioration among laptop and tablet users. Exceedingly high number of PC users have curved spine because of uncomfortable seating positions while working on a laptop.

In India the highest number of back-related and neck related problems are among tablet and laptop users. Doctors and Orthopedics advise individuals working on laptops or tablets to be seated on a chair with a backrest and keep the device on a platform that is in level with the eyes to reduce strain on back and neck. Research reveals that curvature of the spine is less among individuals that use a chair with backrest while working on a PC. Hunched posture is common among individuals that spend long hours on laptops.
