It was in this Hublot-Ferrari alliance that the famous Ferrari Official Watch was revealed at Basleworld. Diamond encrusted, water and scratch resistant, this Big Bang timepiece measures 45.5mm in diameter and sports a cylindrical bezel and sapphire dial. Along the rotating axis is a bunch of buttons resembling pedals of a Ferrari in addition to carbon inserts in the case. Straps are inspired by Ferrari seatbelt mechanism and similar stitching is seen along the strap as in those of Ferrari upholstery.
Hands of the watch and indices are also in continuation of a Ferrari dashboard and it would go without saying that a prancing horse dominates the watch face. Hublot has ensured that the watch is water resistant upto 328 feet and has a 72 hour power reserve. The Big Bang Ferrari is powered by UNICO movement and has a total of 330 components oscillating at 28,800 vibrations per hour.
No pricing has been announced as on date but one can only gauge its worth considering that this watch was recently put up for a charity auction in support of earthquake victims at Ishinomaki City, Japan where it received a winning bid of US$49,150.
