Fujitsu has incorporated Immersion HD Haptics, the first of its kind in its recently launched Raku-Raku smartphone. Immersion Corporation who is the world leader in touch feedback technology, development and licensing has revealed that the smartphone uses its TouchSense(R) 5000 embedded control software and is combined with a piezo actuator that enables HD Haptic effects.
Also included in the Raku-Raku device by Fujitsu is Immersion’s integrator software that is designed to create an easy user interface. Fujitsu’s Raku-Raku is doing exceedingly well in Japan. Over 20 million units of this smartphone have been sold and Fujitsu expects to increase its market share further with increased sales of this device.
Currently in Japan, Raku-Raku is available in Japan through NTT DOCOMO.
