Stuart Hughes a Liverpool based jeweler has taken it a step further as he has designed a gold plated and diamond encrusted iPhone 5 costing $15.3 million.
The worlds most expensive smartphone was built for a Chinese businessman. This custom made device was handcrafted and took 9 weeks to build. The outer casing of the phone consists of 24-carat gold while the home button has been made using a 26 carat black diamond provided by the client.
600 precious stones have been used to design the phone out of which 53 of them have been used for the Apple logo. White diamonds have been used for the logo and corners of the phone. Those who are interested in buying these custom made iPhone's needn't worry as there are cheaper variants available too. These variants are simply covered in gold and cost $33,800.
