The number of low priced tablets available to consumers in India is astounding. Joining an endless list of tablet makers in India soon will be internet giant Google.

Yes, Google’s Nexus 7 inch tablet that has hogged the lime light in recent time is all set to make its grand entry in India. In partnership with Asus, Google have slated an October launch for their tablet. This is the first tablet under Google’s Nexus brand.

Expectations will be high considering it’s a Google product. There will be an 8 GB device and a 16 GB device on offer. Google’s 8 GB tablet is priced at $ 199 (approximately Rs 11,599) whereas the 16GB device will cost $249 (approximately Rs 14,000). In the coming weeks this tablet will be available in US and three other countries.
