Muslims in India would be excited to learn that the country is getting its first ever Islamic mobile phone. The phone specially designed for Muslim users and would be known as Beyon I-Tel i786.
It may be known that the number 786 is an auspicious number in Islam and hence this name has been approved. The mobile phone would have apps such as a Hijri calendar and Qibla direction finder. It is likely to be available in India during the month of November and would be priced at Rs.2,952. The mobile would support Urdu, Hindi as well as Arabic and Turkish once the phone is launched abroad.
The phone would also have exclusive Islamic ringtones and wallpapers and would have a Halal meat guide to boot. Though any smartphone user can download these apps onto any Android or iPhone and BlackBerry, having a mobile phone exclusive designed and targeting Muslim users would be an added advantage.
