Google’s Nexus One has surprisingly hit a dead end. The phone that was released by Google six months ago might be very popular amongst android phone lovers but Google has decided to shut it. The company on its Nexus One blog suggested that it had received its last stock from HTC and might shutdown production altogether.
Google however indicated that the phone needs to compete with devices from its own partner companies may be sold through network partners only. Google also confirmed that there would be no Nexus two to replace the first version as it is already too famous.
The move to stop production of the phone even after its proven popularity against other devices like Droid X, the Evo 4G and the iPhone 4 is a little confusing though. So, Nexus one lovers might not get a chance of getting their hands upon the device should they fail now.
