
Devastating earthquake and resulting Tsunami that affected the east coast of Japan last week, has not only severely affected the entire country but the entire world. Japan is an important country in the world today. Many leading companies of today have their set-up in Japan which they heavily rely on for their progress.
Considering the current situation in Japan, Apple has decided to postpone iPad 2 launch. Apple’s latest tablet, iPad 2 was scheduled to be launched in Japan on 25th March. In fact Apple has provided their employees in Japan with an option of relocation to other countries over fears of nuclear radiation.
Natalie Kerris, Apple spokesperson, stated, “We are delaying the launch of the iPad 2 in Japan while the country and our teams focus on recovering from the recent disaster.” According to Apple’s Oct-Dec 2010 quarter sales report, 5% of their revenue came from sales in Japan.
