Amazon, the company that deals online in digital books for Kindle e readers has exceeded all expectations in sales. More and more clientele prefer Kindle books over printed matter.
Mr. Jeff Bezon, Founder and Chief Executive of Amazon said that though the company had envisaged this boom, what they did not forecast that it would occur so fast. The company has been in the business of retailing print books for 15 years and only 4 years have passed since they have started selling Kindle books.
Amazon, which is based in Seattle, said that the ratio of Kindle books to print books was 105:100 since the 1st of April this year. The company which went into business with selling print books in 1995 ventured into Kindle in November 2007. Kindle store has over 950,000 books on offer and also best sellers from New York Times. The company however does not disclose any details about the sales figures for their e readers.
