LG has officially announced its smartphone Optimus G which happens to be the world’s first quad core phone with inbuilt 4G LTE. Initially this handset will be launched in Japan under NTT DOCOMO after which it will be introduced globally. The device runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset (quad core 1.5 Ghz Krait CPU).
This smartphone comes with 32 GB internal storage and as expected does not have a microSD slot. The device has a 13 megapixel main camera and a 1.3 megapixel camera in front. Optimus G has a 4.7 inch WXGA True HD IPS+ display that offers a pixel resolution of 768 x 1280.
LG claims its G2 Touch Hybrid Display is the thinnest LCD display available in the market. Features in this smartphone include Assisted GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, DLNA, NFC and MHL. The camera on this smartphone is exceptional and loaded with interesting features such as ‘Cheese Shutter’ and ‘Time Catch Shot’. LG will be announcing pricing details in regard with this device soon.
