LG is about to make its presence even stronger with the debut of its in-house L9 chipset processor in September this year. Although the key specifications are yet to be announced it has been revealed the L9 will have a Quad-Core ARM processor alongside a powerful GPU.
Theories and speculations are rife about type of architecture to be used in LGs in-house chipset processor. Analysts and tech experts suggest the number 9 in L9 may well be due to the fact that the new chipset processor maybe based on the older ARM Cortex- A9 and not the new Cortex-A15 architecture.
The eagerly anticipated L9 platform is expected to be showcased with high end smartphone to be launched by LG in September. This smartphone will have a True HD IPS screen similar to the one on Optimus 4X HD. Although LG has not revealed specifications of the camera on this smartphhone, it is believed the device will have a camera with a resolution of more than 10 megapixels.
