Maxx Mobiles are preparing to launch a range of tablets. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ajjay Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of the company said that Maxx Mobiles were developing some tablets which would take some time to come out into markets as it still required some research.
Maxx tablets will offer some stiff competition to rivals such as Samsung Galaxy Tab, Blackberry Playbook, Apple iPad and Motorola Xoom. These tablets today, are selling for prices of Rs.25,000 and above. However, Indian tablets should be priced below that to cement its position.
Influx of tablets in the past few years has seen some stiff competition among rival companies with sales expecting to reach 1 million in the coming year. Maxx Mobiles have a range of handsets, mobile phone batteries and phone chargers for Indian users. They are also expected to bring out lithium ion cells from the company’s Haridwar unit, though Agarwal did not elaborate further.
