At 2011 Computex conference held on Wednesday, All Things Digital, saw Microsoft showcase their new OS which gives prominence to touchscreen for tablet computers. This system called Windows 8 is expected to get underway in the next one and half years as Microsoft is competing with Apple Inc iPad which was launched over 12 months ago.
Representatives of Microsoft displayed this system at a conference held in Palos Verdes in California.
Mr. Steven Sinofsky, Head of Microsoft Windows unit said that the product still unchristened would be out soon, though not necessarily this year, but did not give any specific date of launch. Sinofsky further added that the company was working on an internet telephone system which would integrate Skype into its operation since Microsoft was in the process of purchasing the company.
This new operating system by Microsoft will run on desktops, laptops and tablets and comply with mouse, keyboard and touchscreen commands.
Coming from Microsoft, the new Operating System will be worth the wait.
