Marriot International has introduced a mobile application for iPhone and Android devices which will enable travelers in India get instant access on the go. With a few touches smartphone users can get information on all Marriott Hotels across the world in 71 countries. With 3600 hotels spread across the world, travelers from India can get information on the nearest Marriot hotel in every country they visit.
The new mobile application allows users to book rooms, find nearby hotels, check reservation status, and get details related to their stay. With this mobile application launched, individuals can also enroll for Marriott Rewards scheme and check the number of points availed. According to Shafiq Khan, Senior Vice President, Ecommerce Marriott International, Inc, more than half the reservations made by individuals in Marriott were from mobiles. It was keeping in mind the choice and needs for of the busy traveler that this application was introduced.
