With Apple making its impact globally, Motorola too is trying hard to get noticed. In order to compete with Apple’s new iPad2, Motorola will be launching their new tablet named Zoom in India on 10 May, 2011. This new tablet from Motorola will compete with the likes of Apple iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab, and, OlivePad. Only time will tell which tablet becomes popular with customers, as of now Apple and Samsung are market leaders.
For Motorola, it will be the best opportunity to increase sales before Apple’s iPad 2 reaches Indian stores. Motorola Zoom is built with a 1GHz dual-core Tegra SoC Nvidia processor with DDR2 RAM of 1GB. This enables Motorola Zoom to process instructions at lightning speed. Zoom is also equipped with 2 cameras, a 2 MP in the front and a 5 MP on the back. Other features include gyroscope, Wi-Fi, accelerometer, e-Compass and barometer. Motorola Zoom is available for pre-order at Rs. 35,000 in India.
