Android smartphone enthusiasts in the US have reason to celebrate. Motorola has launched two new Android smartphone models, Defy X2 and Electrify 2 for U.S. Cellular. Electrify 2 is successor to last year’s Electrify model. This smartphone has a 4.3 inch HD display and is equipped with a 1.2 GHz dual core processor.
The 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording is not exceptional, but suits an amateur’s needs rather well. Electrify 2 is 8.4 mm thick and consists of Kevlar back and splash resistant body. This device runs on Android 4.0 and comes with a 1780 mAh battery.
This handset is available for a price of $ 199. Defy X2 has a 3.7 inch high resolution screen and a 5 megapixel camera with FWVGA video recording. The smartphone has a 1GHz processor and 1 GB RAM. A big disappointment is the fact that Motorola has Android Gingerbread 2.3 on this phone, which in today’s times is outdated, or rather unacceptable. As of now Motorola has not announced the price of Defy X2, but considering its features one would expect this smartphone to be affordably priced.
