Nikesh Arora declared Google’s highest paid employee with $46.7 million

Nikesh Arora, Chief Business Officer at Google received total compensation to the tune of $46.7 million (INR 25,39,42,000) during 2012. This astronomical figure is more than double that which Arora earned in the year 2011.

Patrick Pichette, Chief Financial Officer of the company is the second highest paid employee with total income during 2012 reaching $38.7 million (INR 20,998,62,000) also double the income from a year prior while David Drummond, Chief Legal Office received $31.3 million (INR 16,991,20,500) during 2013, an increase of 71% as compared to total compensation received in 2011.

Net income of the company increased 10% to $10.7 billion while sales saw an increase of 32% to $50.2 billion during 2012.  Eric Schmidt, Chairman of Google received total compensation of $7.6 million in 2012, a decrease from $101 million received in the year prior when his total compensation was directly proportionate to stocks and options which were valued at $93.8 million.
