Nokia’s new smartphone – N9 gets mixed reviews, images and video

In order to get themselves back in the Smartphone market, Nokia has unveiled their new phone, N9. Powered by the Meego operating system, Nokia once again disappoints their fans by not switching to Windows OS or Android OS.

But according to some experts, Nokia N9 is a very powerful phone. Nokia N9 will allow users to run multiple applications together and switch between applications by flipping the screen. Just like flipping to the next image in gallery, you will now be able to flip between applications that are running in the background on Nokia N9.

Unveiled at the CoounicAsia event in Singapore by Nokia Chief, Mr Stephen Elop, Nokia N9 has managed to get mixed reviews. Mr Paul Krzystoszek, says, “Being a user of Apple, an iPhone, this is light years ahead of what iPhone 3G does. The ease of use... the intuitive nature of swiping across the screen instead of using a button, there's no button on it, the plastic casing, I think they're all things that make it a lot better than what we have already.”

Another Mr Shahiran Jaafar, CEO, Microtel Systems, said, “Awesome. The fact that you can just swipe it and it goes back to whatever screen that you need it to go back to, the fact that it can show all the open tasks that's available, that's fantastic. It just dwarfs the iPhone, the iPhone is nothing now.”

The only concern these experts had was the Meego OS as it does not support most the applications today and very less users which denies it the scope to grow.
