If you are under the impression Samsung has its hands full only with Android smartphones and tablets, you may be in for a surprise. Reports that have emerged recently suggest the Korean electronics giant is gearing up to release a new media player called GALAXY Player-YP-GP1 which will have a massive 5.8 inch screen with a pixel dimension of 540 x 960.
Powered with a 1 GHz dual-core CPU with 1 GB RAM the Android 4.0 device is expected to be revealed at IFA 2012 to be held in Berlin in the month of August. Leaked images that have flooded various tech websites reveal the Samsung media player has an all white finish and borrows its design and styling heavily from Galaxy S III.
The media player has a 3 megapixel camera on the rear and a VGA camera in front for video chat. The device supports up to 32 GB via MicroSD slot. Tech analysts believe this device will also have a HDMI Out port and a Super Amoled screen. Features included are GPS, Stereo speaker, FM Radio, Micro USB, Bluetooth-4.0, and Gyro sensor. Samsung has been the only competitor that has been taking a large bite of Apple every time it introduces a product in the market. Will Samsungs GALAXY media Player-YP-GP1 end the reign of Apple’s IPod?
