Even as the company gets ready to showcase the 2013 Renault Samsung SM3 at Paris Motor Show, the vehicle has been previewed in South Korea. The vehicle has been revealed by the South Korean Renault Group. Here it was seen with a new front bumper, upgraded front grille and restyled headlamps. Also visible were new alloy wheels and interiors done up with a new instrument panel and digital displays.
While little else was revealed and engine options are still unknown, it is estimated that the 2013 SM3 will possess a range of engines which will include a 1.6 liter 16V 110 hp and a 2.16 V 140 hp engine. The former will be mated to an automatic transmission or manual transmission offering best in class fuel efficiency while the latter will be mated either to a continuous variable or CVT or manual transmission. Prices are expected to be announced closer to the upcoming Paris Motor Show where it will also be revealed whether the four door SM3 model in question will be seen with further updates. Being a rebadged Renault Fluence, there will be major carryovers to the European counterpart.
