If all goes well Sony Ericsson’s ambitious plans about upgrading the range of Xperia mobile handsets to ICS, (Ice Cream Sandwich) Google’s latest operating system may well be established by March 2012. As of now the company has revealed through its official blog that 11 of its handsets from the Sony Ericsson Xperia smartphones range will soon receive an upgrade.
Although there is no confirmed news about upgrade dates, reports on PhoneArena suggest that Marketing Manager Sony Ericsson, Italy, Maurizio de Palma on his Facebook page disclosed the arrival of ICS operating system by March 2012. It is also reported that Maurizio de Palma mentioned the fact that Ice Cream Sandwich, Google’s latest operating system was released on November 2011 and even though it would take some time to code the line of 2011 Xperia smartphones, making it happen by March 2012 was their goal.
