Sony finally admits its Xperia S is plagued with display problems

Mobile maker Sony has finally admitted that its Xperia S smartphone equipped with Android OS is plagued with display problems. The display of this smartphone is affected when exposed to temperatures above 40 degrees C. According to reports several users complained about a yellowish ghost image in visuals when used outdoors at high temperatures. Sony Mobile Communications has stated that the display problem is limited to a specific batch of smartphones.

Sony further added that customers that are facing this display problem can approach local Sony service centers to fix the problem free of charge. The Xperia S is equipped with a Snapdragon MSM 8206, 1.5 GHz dual core processor. It has a 4.3 inch HD screen that boasts of 1280x 720 pixel resolution and 1 GB Ram. The 12 megapixel camera that records full HD video and takes high quality images in various natural light and artificial light conditions is flawless. After buyout of Ericsson’s mobile business, the Xperia S is the first to be marketed under the Sony Mobiles banner.
