Earlier today, Canadian electronics device manufacturer, Research In Motion launched the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet in India. Priced at Rs 27,990 for the base model with 16 GB capacity, PlayBook is also available in 32 GB and 64 GB variants which are priced Rs 32,990 and Rs 37,990 respectively. In the US, BB PlayBook is available for $699, $599 and $499 for the 64 GB, 32 GB and 16 GB variants respectively.... 

Launched almost a month ago, Canada based RIM has already sold 250,000 BlackBerry PlayBook tablets till date. Researchers predicted that BlackBerry would not be able to impact the tablet market as it was already flooded with Apple iPad, Samsung Galaxy tablet, Motorola Xoom, etc. But RIM has proved the researchers wrong and they are on their way to achieve target of 500,000 units in the first quarter...
