Travelers at Gatwick Airport can now keep themselves busy. Tesco has opened an interactive virtual grocery store at the airport that helps travelers and holidaymakers shop for their return with their smartphones. Most travelers face hardships when they return from a vacation. The fridge is empty and one feels tired and lazy to shop in neighborhood store for groceries.
Tesco’s virtual interactive grocery store puts an end to the blues when you return home. All travelers need to do is fill their online baskets by using the barcode app on their smartphone to point at an image on the virtual fridge. Deliveries can be booked 3 weeks in advance, so you wouldn’t have to worry about groceries when you get back form you vacation.
The delivery man will arrive with all the items you have booked at the virtual grocery store while you unpack. As of now Tesco has 80 products which include fruits, vegetables and cleaning products. Mandy Minichiello, Senior Marketing Manager Tesco.com said, " When we came up with this idea for the virtual store at Gatwick, we really wanted to provide a helpful service for busy families".
