IBM has talked about big plans in the future. And now, if all goes well this multinational technology and consulting corporation is planning on buying Worklight, a mobile software firm based in Israel. In the past IBM had made it clear about strengthening its mobile application development, security and integration. By acquiring Worklight IBM will add the required depth to its mobile strategy.
Speed and accuracy on various IBM platforms along with new and existing mobile applications and multiple devices will be improved and reach another level with the Israeli firms acquisition. Securing connections between tablet applications and smartphone applications will be made easy. Worklight has partnered with IBM and supported them on various platforms. Although Shahar Kaminitz, the CEO of Worklight has kept mum, and IBM has not made a statement on the acquisition date, industry insiders believe the acquisition of Worklight is going to take place in the first quarter of 2012.
