Mobile manufacturers namely Techberry, based in Hong Kong with headquarters in Chennai unveiled their all new wrist watch mobile phone in India. Each of these phones will be fitted with GPRS, Bluetooth and USB Port which will enable internet browsing along with FM radio facilities.
Mr. John Yesudhas, Chief Executive Officer of Techberry said the phone namely TB007 with Bluetooth and wrist watch will be 2G compliant, while three more models will be 3G compliant. The company is setting up marketing and distribution centers in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka and is expected to have a total of 9000 stores and 1,500 distributors by 2012.
An investment of Rs.45 crores should see this project underway. Yesudhas also said that rival brands coming up in the market did not deter them as there was enough opportunity for everybody. Wrist mobiles are a luxury product which would be ideal presentation items or for corporate gifting. Techberry is completely owned by Wireless Gadgets Pvt. Ltd.
